KPI
Also known as: Key Performance Indicator
Measurable value showing church health.
A KPI (Key Performance Indicator) is a measurable value that demonstrates how effectively an organization is achieving its objectives. In the church context, KPIs go beyond attendance to include metrics like first-time guest counts, volunteer participation rates, small group engagement, and giving trends.
Kingdom Metrics focuses specifically on attendance-related KPIs because attendance is the most fundamental and universally tracked metric in church leadership. The platform's KPIs include the Growth Index, behavioral capacity utilization, Growth Driver Retention, and 8-over-8 comparisons.
Why it matters for your church: Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Kingdom Metrics selects KPIs that are directly actionable — each one points to a specific decision or area of focus. A declining Growth Index triggers a different response than an underperforming GDR, even though both indicate a growth challenge.
